Blurb for Planet Ash

I am working on my first full-length novel titled Planet Ash. It is based on my short story World of Ash. Below is a blurb for the book.

A chain reaction of volcanic eruptions across the globe has spared no continent. Not only has the immense amount of ash in the atmosphere lowered temperatures worldwide, resulting in summer snow, but the destruction of crops has brought food shortages to every corner of the earth. To make matters worse, the cumulative seismic power of the event has opened wormholes across the planet, allowing cannibalistic humans from a parallel universe to seep through.

Jax Calder, former head of field operations for the multinational energy company Geothermal Tech, has blown the whistle on his boss, CEO Larry McCloskey, claiming the firm’s advanced technology actually put these events in motion. To protect their key witness, the U.S. government has dispatched two of its best marshals to safely bring in Jax. However, McCloskey’s men are hot on his trail, flesh-hungry foes are lingering in the midst, and it is still several hundred miles to the safe zone. Will the U.S. Marshals get to Jax in time, and, even if they do, can the environmental impact be reversed?
